Mission Statement

Northwest Missouri State University's Sports Medicine Team is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare as it pertains to the well-being of the student-athletes. Each member of the department will deliver professional assistance to prevent, manage, and rehabilitate injuries and illnesses while utilizing interactive partnerships with other allied healthcare professionals when necessary.

The David and Susan Colt Athletic Training Room

Dr. David "DC" Colt served with distinction as Northwest's head athletic trainer for 27 years, from 1981 to 2008. During his tenure, DC provided care for more than 10,000 student-athletes and is recognized for his skills in teaching, mentoring and service to both student-athletes and coaches. He and his wife, Susan, dedicated much of their lives to this institution and their names will forever be linked to this facility.
